Now, the iconic blonde Britney Spears’ dyed her hair brown, and the change has left everyone cheering.

On September 4th, Spears posted a video montage of her new brown hair on her Instagram account. The dye-job from blonde to bronde was inspired by her little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Jamie Lynn dyed her hair brown for a Netflix role over the summer. Celebrity friends all commented love and support on Spears’ new look.

In the photos, fans noted that Spears has kept the length. And that subtle caramel tones add dimension to the look.

Some celebrities choose to switch up their look by wearing a wig (*ahem* the Kardashians and Jenners), but Spears’ hair is the real deal. Everyone knows that the process of going from dark to platinum is a process and so is darkening the hair. There are a couple of things to keep in mind while making the switch from brunette to blonde too quickly. According to Refinery29, the process of going dark is complicated for those who have bleached their hair.

If you remember, Spears went brunette back in 2013. She showed up at Elton John’s Oscars party as a chocolate brown. And back in 2007 when her album Blackout released, she dyed her hair nearly black.

So Britney, being the trail blazing iconic cultural icon that she is, has made some hair statements over the years. And once again we are loving it.
