‘The Princess Switch’ Is Getting a Sequel
Andrew Parker - November 17, 2019

We know that there is an overabundance of Netflix Christmas movies out there, but do you remember the one you watched last year that was basically the most delightful thing ever? We’re talking about the Vanessa Hudgens The Princess Switch. And guess what? It’s getting a sequel! The Princess Switch: Switched Again.

Here’s a recap of the first film. Vanessa Hudgens took on two roles: Stacy, a “common” baker from Chicago, and Margaret, the Duchess of Montenaro. When the pair meet in the fictional country of Belgravia, they switch places and find themselves falling for the handsome men in each other’s lives. One of those men is a prince (duh). The other is hot and has a super cute daughter.

According to the Netflix See What’s Next Twitter account, the sequel follows some trouble in paradise for Duchess Margaret and Kevin. “In the sequel, Duchess Margaret unexpectedly inherits the throne & hits a rough patch with Kevin, so it’s up to Stacy to save the day before a new look-alike—party girl Fiona—foils their plans,” the tweet says.

What’s even more, Vanessa Hudgens will be starring in the holiday sequel and producing it! Talk about a busy bee! And this isn’t even the only Netflix Christmas rom-com Hudgens is signed on for. She will also be starring in The Knight Before Christmas as “a kind science teacher who has been disillusioned by love.” Then she meets a cursed medieval knight who she must help get back to his time.

Although there is no word yet on a release date for The Princess Switch: Switched Again, The Knight Before Christmas hits Netflix November 21.
